An incredible honor

A friend in Bartlesville recommended that I should submit my photos to the Bartlesville Monthly Magazine's (BMM) July photo contest.  Having never entered into any photography contests, I had no clue as to how this process worked.  I contacted BMM and they gave me some guidelines with the theme being Downtown Bartlesville which is a fairly broad topic with so many options to consider.  On May 25th while having dinner with my family, I look out our window and noticed that the clouds had a nice orange tint.  Finished up dinner quickly and off I went to find some compositions that I could use for the contest.  Low and behold almost a month later, I get a call from Keith McPhail that I won!  I was dumbfounded and couldn't believe it.  Needless to say, I was in Cloud 9 for several days/weeks.  There were 50+ photographs submitted by many talented photographers and any one of them could have been the winner.  Thank you BMM, Keith & Christy McPhail, and the judges for such an incredible honor!

My photo is also feature on the Tower Center at Unity Square website https://www.unitysquarebville.com/
